Welcom To Microskills LINC Programm

Hello dear,

I have been studying at LINC school for more than two years. I find this school is very useful and helps newcomers to improve their English. My advise is, you should attend this program. When I first came to Canada, the counsellor told me if you want to live in Canada and become a citizen, you must learn English. So I attended this program. Now my English is better and I can read and write. I appreciate all my teachers at LINC school, who welcome for new students and they teach the students by using grammar and practic reading, writing, speaking, listening and Pronunciation to help them integrate in Canadian society. We use functional language within the Canadian context as well as the language of everyday situations such as Banking, Telephone skills, Shopping, Employment, Housing and other topics. We also use computers to assist with language learning needs as part of today’s communication networking system.
We re-enforce functional language learning with events such as multicultural celebrations, pot lucks and field trips.

Grop Of Seven

The Group of Seven was founded in 1920 as an organization of self-proclaimed modern artists. The original members - Franklin CARMICHAEL, Lawren HARRIS, A.Y. JACKSON, Franz JOHNSTON, Arthur LISMER, J.E.H. MACDONALD and F.H. VARLEY - befriended each other in Toronto between 1911 and 1913. All except Harris, who was independently wealthy, made their living as commercial artists, and several of them even worked together in the same shop. Tom THOMSON, another commercial artist, was included in this circle of friends, but since he died in 1917 he never became a member of the Group. He was important to the other artists, however, for he was an avid outdoors man and awakened their interest in painting the rugged northern Ontario landscape.
Painting The Group were not exclusively landscape painters, and it was only after their first exhibition at the Art Gallery of Toronto in 1920 that they began to identify themselves as a landscape school.

    Hi everyone,

Before we arrived there, we headed out of Eaton Centre for the short walk over to Four Seasons. We past the Bay, Old City Hall, and a new City Hall. Also we saw a group dressed in red outfit condemns Stop paying daily banking fee! And recommend to Open a President's Choice Financial no fee bank account and you could save up to $200 a year in bank fees. Then we followed our way to the Queen W street. Before we entered the Center, we took a nice photos and we had standing outdoor on line about ten minute, Finally we entered the Concert. Although we did not get a place to sit, therefor we decided to sit on the floor and the other students prefered to stay standing. Anyway, we enjoyed the excellent performance played by violinist Adam Banda, and pianist Jeani Chung.

He explained the history of Sugar factory and show us Sugar Cane, molasses sugar which is cooked very much to get brown color and we saw many kind of Sugar, white, brown, and creamy color. Also he points on the map the steps of how to prepare Sugar in the factory.

In 1853 He decided to establish an entirely new enterprise, as a new branch of manufacture in Canada and also with the view of creating a business for his sons. That fall John made purchases of land from the seminary of Sain Sulp in Montreal and construct for the new "Sugar House" began almost immediately.

    University settlement

    Hi everyone,

We are five of us went to University Settlement for job and Career Fair.
In fact, we didn't gain any snip from there. It's OK, because none of us didn't have any Canadian experience. My classmates asked about jobs, and I also asked a lady who was responsible at resume desk about fixing my resume. She was a nice lady. She helped me and fixed my resume and gave me some advice. After we finished, we followed my teacher's direction, then we went out for a walk around downtown. We passed through many places such as an old building which belongs to Jewish religion called a Synagogue. It was built in 1930. And we passed through many shops, such as Cheese Magic, bakery, grocery, and meat shop, and we saw a nice car with a beautiful colors and plants growing inside. It was a wonderful trip and we took beautiful photographs of at different places, before we left we went to a Chinese restaurant. I ordered vegetarian food with chop stick but I am still confused about how to used them. Thank you teacher for a nice trip, you are a loyal friend for us and too modest.

    Diabetes Mellitus

    Hi everyone,

Diabetes Mellitus, most commonly called ''diabetes,'' is a medical condition triggered by an endocrine system imbalance, caused by the lack of production of blood sugar.
Now, I am telling you about my sister's experience with high blood sugar. One day when my sister was sitting in her apartment she heard a loud bomb go off in front her apartment. She scared from that sound and caused her to have diabetes even though she was pregnant. Her son was born with the same problem. In anorther case, my relative got diabetes when she was electrocuted. Some people got diabetes through following bad habits, such as eating too much Sweet food. Did you know this case is very seriouse? The good way to prevent this problem is through exercise and no eating more foods with unnatural sugars.

    My Job

When I finished high school, I decided to enroll in the Early Childhood Education program. I studied there about three years for that field. After that I got my certification and I became a teacher for a Kindergarten. So I throw a big dinner for my family and gave donations to some poor famies who needed help. It was worth the sacrifice. A few months later, I started my new Job in an elementary school, but that not my specilazation which I studied for. I taught at a compulsory program for children of ages 6 and 7 in the morning. After school I had to prepare my lunch and quickly leaved to another school to teach elder people who weren't enrolled in school before, it called literacy compulsory school. I spent most of my time at work. my live was much busier than Iexpected. Finally, I moved to another city and got my real professional job in a Kindergarten.

    Trip To Toronto Island

    Hi everyone,

Our teacher planned for this trip last Friday. I met my classmates at Don Mills station at 9:30. We took a train to Union station. When we got off the train, we followed my classmate Patty because she had been to Toronto Island two weeks before. After that, we met our teacher with his two sons at the ticket window. Our teacher said to us " you have to choose which boat to ride on." We started our journey from Mainland Ferry Docks. We walked on foot about 10 km from Ward's Island to Hanan's Point. I think that is good exercise to lose weight. Even though we were tired, we completed our march. We enjoyed our time with our teacher he taught us new idioms when we were on the boat. The first one it was " in the same boat."it means we are together, the second one was" not rocking the boat" it means we should maintain the status quo. Our group took some photos appear on the LINC 4-5 blog.
It was a fantastic trip, I hope we have other trip in the next future.

    Rent an appartment

    Hi everyone,

Renting an apartment not easy to find, you have to look in ads on newspaper or to ask some friends. When first time came to Canada my relative found apartment for us to live in. The price was expensive, but the location is so good because it's facing the park, near subway station, near the Fairview Mall, and near to the family doctor. My apartment it's so quit, my neighbours are good we have no problem. If some things in my apartment broken or it has lake or need polish , just write notice to the manger then somebody came and repair the problem. My brother catch up the rent ever month therefor, we don't received any eviction notice from the office so far.

Whatever I learned some tips such as; To find problem to get opportunity, turn problems into opportunities, the harder Iwork the lucky I got, and how much money could you earn from $5 with only 2 hours. I thought people can make money with small ventures, if they could understand how to deal with others. They are supposeed to have Entropreneurship and innovation.

Enjoy a camping trip in Ontario and make memories to last a lifetime. Pitch a tent or try an all-season yurt a tent-like structure mounted on platforms. You can also stay at rustic cabins, heritage cottages, or if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, learn to build your own snow cave.
Choose from a variety of park settings and on-site activities that you can enjoy. Experience amazing water activities, Great Lakes coastlines, sand dunes, golden stretches of beach and rich natural history. Autumn is the time for paddling and hiking amidst a colourful canopy of maples, while winter presents cross-country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities to observe nature’s tracks in the pristine snow. Many parks offer special events for birders in spring, fall and winter.
Take part in guided hikes, stargazing nights, wolf howls or visit on-site museums.
    Relax and reconnect with nature.

    Identity theft

    Hi,

According to the report, that i heard from bbc radio, in the last decades, identity theft has become one of the fast groing crime in Canada. Befor you even know your personal information has been stolen, a thief could have use it to pose as you while applying for amortgage and bank accounts with credit lines. Leaving you responsible for hundreds of thousand of dollars of debt. You might even find the police knoking on your door, as your identity could be used to commit other crimes. It could take years to restor your reputation, credit rating, or prove your innocence.
Make no mistake. Identity theft look for if he wants to masquerade as you?
As we know credit card and bank information is often at risk. My advice never give your (S I N)
Social Insurance Number to any one except the government. Yoy have to take your precaution.

    Proud To Party

    Hi

I am not interested in looking for that people, who went out to celebrate the gay community.
And bring awareness and acceptance to the community.
The parade started at Church and Bloor Sts. and made it's way down Yonge Sts. finishing at
Church and Gerrard Sts. They are looking forward to applying for their requests. I thought these people have illicit ideas non -legal, because they only express their own desires and do not represent a high-society. I will be in opposed to doing that attitude. What on earth? What are you thinking of ?

    Picnic To Bluffers Park

    Hi thier,

Today , we have out of school. My LINC school went on picnic to the Bluffers park. That's my first time i 've never been there. Befor we went to the park, the weather was threatening in the morning, therefore, i thought our trip may be cancle so i got a littel nervous after that the weather becomes nice and wanderful. Then our teacher arrived on time to drop me up on his car with Amarr and his wife to joined other group frome LINC school to the Bluffers park .
I enjoyed my time with beast friend and our teachers, we got more fun and more relaxing. The park was realy beautiful and the sight was impressive. We took some pictures and shared lunch together. I appreciate my teacher he was very kind , he gave some of my classmet and me rode, we went shopping. Thank you our teacher for help us. My God bless you.

    Monday, June 21, 2010

The 2008 Parks Waste Audit indicated that recyclables compose approximately 14% of the litter stream, making the disposal of waste difficult and potentially costly. Plastic materials comprised the largest amount of recyclables at roughly 7%. The reduction of plastic bottles in our parks would reduce contamination of the litter stream and reduce the cost of dealing with contaminated loads that are not accepted at transfer stations.
Will all parks and sports facilities be included in the 2011 ban?
We have identified specific sites that require an exemption from the ban (e.g. facilities without potable water) and have submitted this information for consideration by City Council. The decision on whether to exempt facilities or parks ultimately lies with City Council, who will make the decision prior to the spring/summer season in 2011.
Are other municipalities also implementing water bottle bans?
Numerous municipalities across Canada already have water bottle bans or restrictions in place in facilities and/or parks, including: London, Hay River, Yellowknife, Thunder Bay, Sault St. Marie, Sudbury, St. John’s, Charlottetown, Barrington, Sherbrooke, Cornwall, Ajax, Welland, Niagara Falls, Burlington, Oakville, Vaughan, Peel Region, Caledon, Waterloo, Windsor, Owen Sound, Brockton, Goderich, Shoal Lake, Altona, Nelson, Nanaimo, Victoria, Vancouver, Burnaby, White Rock, etc. For more information, http://www.insidethebottle.org/mapping-the-industry.

    The World Cup

    Hi everyone,
I remembered that victory which Iraqi team made. Iraq's winning the Asia Cup In 2007. When Iraq's team defeated Saudi Arabia, they carry off with 2 point against 1 point to Saudi Arabia in Barcelona. At that time the people went down to the street like crazy to celebrate the victory. I have been pleased with the victory of our sport teams, and it was a great joy to all Iraqi people.
We will not forget that day. We still enjoyed that victory so far.

    Sell stuff online

    Shopping online and selling online

In this day and age everybody want to know how to make some money, how to sell stuff online. It does'nt really matter what it is. People just assume that if you put it online it will sell. It amaze me that people still have the philosophy that if you post it online people will see it, and reach for their credit cards. It is not easy.
